While this is an interesting video, this plug-in hybrid is hardly breaking news as CNN seems to think. Plug-in hybrids have been around for a few years. While they are not currently in production in the U.S., there are several companies like CalCars that can do conversions to allow hybrids to obtain 100+ mpg.
